Ocoee is known for community events including craft fairs, Founders Day, the annual Christmas parade, Pop Warner football, little league, baseball and soccer.

History
Ocoee has come a long way since 1881 when Civil War Captain Bluford M. Sims acquired a 74-acre parcel of real estate in what we now consider downtown. By 1885, the Town of Ocoee had been platted and a land company was formed to encourage settlement and growth. The population then totaled only 115 residents.
One hundred and twelve years and 24,000+ people later, the city is still inviting people to share its beauty and good fortune. And the word Ocoee seems to have found its most apt translation as the "Center of Good Living."
